Very little. Your email if you subscribe, one cookie if you vote, and whatever you send us in a submitted code. Nothing else.
When you subscribe, we keep your email address in our database and send it to Kit (kit.com), the service that sends the Tuesday email. Kit asks you to confirm the address before anything else arrives.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. One click and Kit stops sending. To have your address removed from our copy too, write to us.
When you press “It worked” or “It didn’t”, we set one cookie, cc_voter. It holds a random id so you can change your vote later and so each person counts once. It lasts two years and contains nothing about you.
If you send us a code, we keep what you wrote. Your email is optional and only used to credit you or ask a question about your code.
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and doesn’t identify or follow you between sites.
Cheat Codes runs on Cloudflare. Like any web server, it sees your IP address to send you the page and to block abuse. We don’t store IP addresses ourselves.
Sponsors get space on the page, not data about you. We don’t use ad networks or tracking pixels, and we don’t sell or share your email.
